Malaria is a mosquito-borne infectious disease of humans and other animals caused by Plasmodium protozoan parasite. Malaria usually causes symptoms that include fever, fatigue, vomiting and headache. In severe cases can cause yellowing of the skin, convulsions, coma and death. These symptoms usually between ten and fifteen days after being bitten. For those who have not received adequate treatment of the disease can reappear months later. For those who recently survived an infection, reinfection usually causes mild symptoms. This partial resistance goes on for months or years, if there is a continuous exposure to malaria.
